King and Sculptor

There is a golden advice for kings in Arthasastra. The Kings or whoever oversees the work of the sculpture should never see the statue before they complete. For others it’s half done job, but for the sculptor, it’s work in progress. Sculptor only has the visualization on how the sculpture is going to be. Others may not be able to appreciate the work. Though he may be a king, he is not supposed to see the work.
